Color removal and overall opacity are different
Remove a solid background color from a logo or signature, erase areas manually, or adjust overall opacity. Save a transparent PNG locally.
Use a background color and tolerance for a logo or signature. Red marks erase additional pixels; green marks restore original pixels. Overall opacity fades the entire image instead. Check thin strokes and edge fringes on the checkerboard before downloading PNG.

How to use Transparent Image
- 01
Load a logo, signature or image with a plain background.
- 02
Pick the background color, adjust tolerance and mark extra areas to erase.
- 03
Watch the preview update and inspect edges against the checkerboard before saving a transparent PNG.
Remove a white background from a logo or signature
Pick white, or another solid background color, then adjust tolerance until the background becomes transparent. Inspect the edges and erase remaining areas manually before downloading a transparent PNG. Use overall opacity only when you want to fade the whole image, including its subject.
PhotoCraft background-color removal online
The color-removal filter is adapted from the open-source PhotoCraft project. This independent tool is designed for solid-color backgrounds; it does not automatically cut people or hair out of a complex scene. Find other PhotoCraft-based image tools in the tool directory.
When this tool works best
Best for known solid backgrounds, logos and signatures. This is not automatic subject segmentation; complex scenes and hair need careful manual work. Overall opacity fades the whole image and is a separate mode.
Your downloaded file
A PNG that keeps transparent pixels. JPEG cannot preserve transparency; use the converter only if you want to replace it with a solid background.
